About St. Catherine University

St. Catherine University, also referred to as simply St. Kate's, is a private Catholic university for women located primarily in Saint Paul, which is the capital of the US state of Minnesota, housing more than 287 000 people, within its limits, which makes it the 2nd most populous city in the state, also serving as the county seat of Ramsey County.

St. Kate's was established in 1905 and was known as the College of St. Catherine, until June 2009. It is the largest university for women in USA, having approximately 2,900 bachelor's students, its enrollment currently exceeding 5200 students.

Athletics

St. Kate's athletic teams are known as the Wildcats and they compete in NCAA Division III, in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Their distinctive colors are purple and gold.
